We cut down the last bits of the Dirtiest Tree In The History of All Trees™ last weekend. I think I had posted here about it before but it dropped these little yellow flowers BY THE MILLIONS. To keep it all cleaned up, you’d have to go back there at least twice a week and spend two hours blowing and bagging and raking and working and it was just a MESS. We were both worried about how it would effect the pond since the tree was directly over it. Well, we don’t have to worry any more! Lumberjack Ben went to work cutting with a chainsaw then dragged the branches over to me and I broke up the smaller bits and shoved them into the compost bin which will be picked up today. We lost quite a bit of shade but the ENTIRE back yard was shade and it’s nice to have some sun back there now. We have a few more bushes and plants that need to be aggressively cut back, then get some nice outdoor lighting under the arbor, and the spa hauled away and we’ll be pretty much set for the winter months I think! ![]()
